Does wavelength have to be from peak to peak, because I saw many example from the book where the wavelength wasn't exactly peak to peak but a certain place on the wave to another certain place?

Hi Jimmy, no measuring a wavelength does not have to be peak to peak, but it is just an easier way to visualize each wave. a wave can measured from any spot to the same spot after a complete cycle has passed. hope this helps.

No. Wavelength does not have to be peak to peak, but it does have to be from one specific point on the wave to that same point on the next one. To be more clear it is easier to see how many cycles of waves there are within the time frame by looking at the peak-to-peak distance. However, be careful assuming the peak-to-peak measurement as some cycles may appear to have only 3 cycles using peak-to-peak, when in reality there is 4 cycles.

Bottom line is to be careful where you choose for your measurements and ensure that your using the same wavelength measurement throughout.

The measure of the wavelength can be from any point on the wave to that exact point one period later however I think we use peak to peak because it can be the most accurate approximation of the wavelength since it is easier to pinpoint the same location a period later when its on the peak.

I believe we dont have to remember all the frequencies, but we probably need to remember the order of the frequencies.

A measure of wavelength is only one complete wave, whether that be from peak to peak (which is often easiest to identify) or any other two points that encompass exactly one complete wave.

according my studies, wavelength does not need to be at peaks, but I do believe it has to be at a very specific point.
