Homework?

Postby Kalsuda Lapborisuth 1B » Mon Apr 09, 2018 6:29 pm

I'm not totally sure which questions are this week's homework?

I believe it's the questions in outline 2 on the 14A website, titled "The Quantum World". We haven't covered much of that section yet so our homework this week can come from the homework problems from last week as well, outline 1.

For the homework does it matter how many we do from each outline (like 3 from outline 1 and 4 from outline 2) or is it just a matter of personal preference?

I think it's personal preference, as long as we've gone over the material then you should be fine.

It also depends on your TA. Mine emailed us saying that we should only do problems from outline 1 since we hadn't covered outline 2 yet.

Homework is everything we have covered in class until now. The homework is basically on the review section and perhaps you can do a couple of problems on chapter one just do not do the same ones from last week. Yes, it is on personal reference how you want to do it.

I'm sure it was mentioned in class by Lavelle that the problems we do for homework could depend on what day our discussion is since we will have covered more of a specific section later on in the week.

The homework should be on what you prefer to practice more from every section up until now which includes the quantum world and review of chemical and physical principles.

If we have our discussion towards to beginning of the week, are we able to answer questions from outline 1 instead of outline 2? I have discussion on Tuesday and I feel like we haven't went over new materials on outline 2.

I believe that if it has been covered in class, it is fair game to be chosen for hw. If you have a Tuesday discussion, you could also choose homework problems from Monday's lecture. Other than that, you should be able to do questions from Outline 1 as long as they are not repeated.

Homework usually depends on the day of your discussion, but as of right now you can do homework from Outline 1 or Outline 2 or both. Basically whatever Dr. Lavelle has taught us so far can be done for homework.
