how exactly is Planck's constant of 6.63x10j*s^-34 relevant to the equation and what does it stand for?

It relates the energy of one photon of electromagnetic radiation to the frequency of that radiation.

Hi! Plancks constant describes the behavior of particles and waves on an atomic scale. This makes it easier to describe the discrete units of energy and links frequency with total energy.
