ejecting electrons
when ejecting electrons does amplitude of wavelength have anything to do with it?

wavelenght does but amplitude doesn't, so shortning the wavlenght will help ejection but amplitude will have no effect

Amplitude relates to the intensity of the light. If there is a higher wavelength, then there are more photons and a brighter light.

To add on to the replies above,
A greater amplitude would mean more photons. If all these photons had a high enough frequency, then more electrons can be emitted.

In lecture on Monday Dr. Lavelle talked about the experiment pertaining to the photoelectic effect. The amount of energy needed to remove an electron from a metal relies solely on the amount fo photons present and in this case amplitude is not relevant as it is a wave property.
