Re: Use of sigfigs
Remember to only take the sigfig at the end for better accuracy. Keep the full values until you have solved the problem, and then take the sigfig of that final value.

Re: Use of sigfigs
We have to use sig figs to our final answer to every problem and the right units.

Sig Figs are important, but I would argue that making sure you have the right units is also important. Especially when using the speed of light and disproving certain ideas like that an electron is drawn into the nucleus, correct significant figures are essential.

He said not to get hung up on sig figs during all of your equations but I think it is useful to be conscious of your use of them so that your answers are not too vague or too long

Re: Use of sigfigs
Sig figs are used to make sure your answers are accurate and remember that it depends if you are multiplying/dividing or adding/ subtracting that you either use the least amount of sig figs when you add and subtract or use the least amount decimal places when mult. / dividing.

Re: Use of sigfigs
I believe that we will need to use correct sig figs for the midterm, and that the deduction for not using correct sig figs would be the same as for not putting units in our answer.
