How do you draw a proposed structure for an activated complex such as +NO +O?

You would want to draw the lewis structures of the reactants. However, you must draw them such that they are aligned with respect to the bonds broken and formed. For your example question, see my crude drawing. O-O + N-O O-N-O + O, so [O.......O...N-O] (activated complex, N-O bond being formed, O-O bond being broken). Just make sure the distance between the two oxygen is longer than O-N because O-O is being broken whereas O-N is being formed.
