How do you use a wave function to describe an electron in an atom? Also what are the units that are used?

We don't need to know how to do equations with the wave function, but it is important to know that the wave function squared is gives you the probability of finding an electron in a certain area (that energy shell).

Schrodinger's Wave Function gives a description of a specific electron for an atom, since no two electrons in the same atom have the same four quantum numbers. There aren't really any units to this, at least not any that have really been discussed in lecture as of yet.
The four quantum numbers in tandem describe which shell the electron is in, what shape the orbitals will take on, and which specific sub shell of the orbital the electron is in.
