Calculation Help

Postby Jennifer Torres 2L » Sun Feb 10, 2019 12:26 pm

Why do we have to use 5/2 and 3/2 to solve the equations? I understand that they are a type of constant but how do we derive these specific numbers?

5/2 R should be used when pressure is constant and 3/2 R when volume is constant. They are derived from ideal gas equations not discussed in class.
