Arrange the following metals in order of increasing
strength as reducing agents for species in aqueous solution:
(a) Cu, Zn, Cr, Fe

Reducing agents refer to substances that are being oxidized, which then in turn causes another substance to become reduced. Stronger reducing agents are lower in cell potential, so for this problem, you would want to rank the metals in order of highest cell potential to lowest cell potential as listed in the back of the book in the appendix.

You would order the metals by highest SRP value to lowest SRP value because they lower they are on the SRP table, the better they are at being reducing agents/getting oxidized.

Like stated above, you have to remember the appendix lists reduction potentials which is the ability to be reduced, so a substance that has a lower reduction potential is more likely to be oxidized, thus reducing another substance.
