### types of units for K in nernst equation

Do the units all need to be the same when calculating K for Nernst equation. For example, if one of the reactant was in mol.L-1 and another was atm or bar, do we need to convert one to the other? (See 14.37 as an example)

### Re: types of units for K in nernst equation

I believe that when Professor Lavelle was talking about units for K in lecture he emphasized the fact that the units change depending on which order the reaction is. For example, the units of K for a first order reaction sec^-1 whereas the units of K for a second order reaction (M^-1)(s^-1). I believe generally it is more common to use mol/L or M in the units of K rather than atm or bar.
