## Avg Rate vs Instantaneous Rate

### Avg Rate vs Instantaneous Rate

In which situation would you want to find the average rate and in which situation would you want to find the instantaneous rate?

According to the textbook the average rate isn't very important. As far as I know, instantaneous rates are all that is relevant for all of the types of problems we are going to be doing. (unless the problem is "find the average rate")

Average rate is an approximation and therefore isn't very accurate. I think most problems will want us to find instantaneous rates because they are more accurate
