If a structure is bent, do have to explicitly say that it is a ?bent trigonal planar and a bent tetrahedral" or can we just say "bent"?

I think you can just say "bent" no matter if it is AX2E or AX2E2, but if asked to specify the electron geometry, you should state that it is trigonal planar for AX2E and tetrahedral for AX2E2. Hope this answer helps!

Do you think we can specify all the names (Trigonal planar and tetrahedral) just in case they were asking, or they'd take off points because you're adding unnecessary information :/

Also, another way the book states bent is angular. You'll be fine if you just say bent or angular.

Really depends on whether or not the lone pairs are present in the structure. Follow the VSEPR formula (AXE) and you can go from there!
