## when to use Heisenberg

### when to use Heisenberg

I know that we're given the equation for Heisenberg on the constant sheet but do we need to know how to use it?? Like if we know a problem has uncertainty according to the Heisenberg uncertainty principle do we just state how it applies and that's it? How would you answer the question?

Most of the time it will be an electron and it will tell you the radius or diameter and you have to solve for the uncertainty in the velocity. When you are doing Heisenberg problems with electrons remember mass can't have uncertainty because it has a known value, and so you will most likely be solving for the uncertainty in either position or velocity.

I feel like when you're supposed to use the equation, the question will directly ask you to solve for the uncertainty in position or velocity
