Since buffer solutions are technically calculating for weak acids, I don't think so. That should be a chem 14B topic.

Buffer solutions usually contain a weak acid & the conj base. For example if there is HF and KF, this would be an example of a buffer solution because F- is the conj base for HF and KF has the F-.

Yeah, he said that we really only need to now how to calculate for strong acids.

He did have a buffer-type question on the midterm so I think its safe to say that he might have something of that sort on the final.
