ion-dipole is stronger than hydrogen bonding but hydrogen bonding is the strongest of the covalent intermolecular forces

Ion-dipole bonding is stronger than hydrogen bonding. This is because in ion-dipole bonding, there is a polar molecule and an ion present, so there is a positive and a negative charge. This results in maximum attraction, making the bond very strong.
